Concepts
So i am still very undecided as to what path to take,
i am either going to do a series of short 'old cinema' style timelapse of 4 animals at wellington zoo looking at the movement of the animal and documenting this.
My second idea is very similar but it would be a series of constructed images showing the movement of the animal in a single frame.

what im doing
so I have started to play around with the idea of time and looking at eadweard muybridge and the images he took of people and animals.
to me this is a great way to show time as it shows something moving I am looking at completing 4 short stop motion/time-lapse videos of different animals moving in their enclosures at Wellington Zoo.
my first video post of the Ruru is just a prototype that I made after the tech lecture on Adobe Premiere.
I have taken more photos that I need to tweak and make into more videos. They are of a lion, giraffe, tortoise, and the otters.
I have found it quite difficult doing this project with animals as my subject... mostly as they tend to move quite a bit and you are limited to the shots you can do as they are in their enclosures... I hope to upload another video this weekend maybe two if I get time.
over the holidays I plan to perfect my videos so try and get 4 consistent movies of about 20 - 30 seconds each.
another idea I am interested in exploring is the idea of long exposure photography and wharfs... this gives an amazing image if done correctly and I would love to have a play with this as well.

Wellington Zoo
So I have been in contact with Wellington Zoo and awaiting to see if I can take photo's there.
My idea is to create a time lapse of a chicken egg hatching.
or
To look at a particular animal and try to recreate what Edward Muybridge had done in the 1900's

Research
Photography has changed the way we look at time in that not only does a photo capture a moment but it also has the ability to alter the way we perceive time.
Photography has achieved this by the ability to slow down or speed up time.
In this project I will be exploring this trait of photography.
Possible Locations
Wellington Train Station - In the foyer with possible clock/people shots
Wellington Zoo - will need to ask to see if i can get any sort of special access.
Mt Kaukau - Good vantage point for the city and to see weather changes
Beach - Tides
The Port - Movement of tides
